Gracious Family Type Home was founded by a Registered Nurse with a simple belief: every senior deserves to age with dignity, warmth, and the feeling of family.
How it all began
After three decades working in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, our founder saw a gap between clinical care and the warmth of home. Too many seniors were living in large, impersonal settings — receiving adequate medical attention but missing the human connection that makes life meaningful.
Gracious Family Type Home was born from that observation. We opened our doors in West Babylon, New York, with a commitment to providing personalized, attentive care in a true home environment — where residents are known by name, not room number.
Today, our small and intentional setting allows us to give each resident the time, attention, and genuine affection they deserve. Our staff-to-resident ratio ensures no one is ever just a face in the crowd.
